History

In 1965 what is now Aeolus Tyres Co., Ltd. was established as the Aeolus Tyre Factory. It produced Aeolus tyres for trucks and trailers and Henan tyres for earth-moving machinery.

The name Aeolus is derived from Greek and Roman mythology, when Aeolus, the son of Poseidon, the sea god, was appointed guardian of the winds by Zeus.

Today Aeolus has production facilities for truck and trailer tyres as well as for car tyres in the Henan region, a brand-new factory for earth-mover tyres and a modern R&D centre.

Since 2003 Aeolus Tyre Co., Ltd. has been listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The factory is now one of the largest and most important in its field in China, with an annual turnover of several billion Yuan.

Aeolus Tyres is registered worldwide in more than 80 countries and regions. It exports tyres to more than 140 countries and regions.
